VMware Solutions Senior Consultant
Lisbon Area – Portugal

Then you are the one we are looking for to reinforce our Western Europe Portfolio Squad as VMware Solutions Senior consultant!

As part of our central team based in Lisbon, you will play a critical role in the transformation of our Western European business, bringing your expertise to deploy strategies and solutions around Infrastructure and Cloud Transformation, both from a business and technical perspective, and based on VMware technologies. 

You have a strong link with VMware and, therefore, you are our rock star when it comes to designing and creating a VMware/VMC roadmap to follow when building complex Cloud solutions. Besides collaborating with cross-functional teams across the region, leading the design, definition and strategic implementation of Cloud architecture and services, you will guide and assess our clients throughout their entire transformation journey.

As VMWare subject matter expert, you will assist in qualification, shaping and response of new name and existing customer bids and current business extensions and renewals, through:

  • Pre-Sales/Consultancy and/or providing solution input into provocations and early engagements, where we would support the Sales engagement process;
  • Leading deals of high complexity which require a high degree of solution and Sales strategy and comes with the responsibility of the technical integrity and costs of the solution, particularly the VMWare components;  
  • Supporting multiple deals, working with Market-Facing Units’ local Architects / Pre-Sales;
  • Understanding the big picture, and ability to connect the dots (partners, alliances, Pre-Sales, Delivery);
  • Evangelising both internally and externally on the Fujitsu VMWare story;
  • Working with the Market-Facing Units to position VMWare offerings, knowing when and how to emphasize VMware portfolio depending on customer challenges;
  • Working in unison with Application & Multi-Cloud Services (AMCS) Sales Specialists to drive solution-based Sales that leverage Fujitsu Hybrid IT and associated services;
  • Participating and contributing to customer scoping workshops;
  • Ensuring that lessons are learnt from engagements and work closely with the AMCS Product Offerings team;
  • Ensuring that the solutions we offer are aligned with the AMCS offering roadmap and strategy;
  • Supporting the delivery process by defining and providing advice on the best delivery approach, Best Practices, and Unlock Technical Constraints;
  • Collaborating with Portfolio Consultants, creating the architecture and other technical assets required to support a specific solution;
  • Creating and running proof of values, internally or externally to end-customers;
  • Driving innovation, proactively advising and introducing new solutions to solve client’s business needs.

Your profile
You have a degree in Computer Science or Engineering, and a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working within the IT Consultancy industry, with a specific focus on VMware technologies. You are VMware certified (Associate or Professional) and have proven expertise with the following VMware technologies: vSphere, vSAN, NSX, vCenter, vRealize Automation, vRealize Operations Manager, vRealize Orchestrator and/or vRealize log Insight. You are familiar with Containers Stack and Kubernetes, VMware Security, Secure State, Tanzu and Pacific. 
You have a relevant understanding of Software Architecture and Cloud Computing. You know your way around the design, development, and implementation of Cloud managed solutions for public and private Cloud, and have a good knowledge of partner solutions, NSX and VMC on AWS & Azure. 
You can assess customer environment, propose a transformation roadmap to achieve his targets, detail the transformation plan and support the delivery of the project.
You are familiar with Agile methodology.
