On-site Technician - Centrica Field Device Support

We are looking for 2 On-site Technicians to work within our Field Device Support Team, and the wider on-site Workplace Services team.


Based on-site at Centrica’s premises in Leicester, the Field Device Support (FDS) Team are responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the vital IT tools in use by the Centrica / British Gas Field Engineer workforce. We are looking for a 2  Engineers to support and help guide the day-to-day operations of the team and work closely with the Leicester Team Leader who has responsibility for delivery of the service. Sunday cover is also required on a rota basis.


We are looking for  individuals with strong organizational and technical skills, who’s confident to manage and prioritize workload for themselves and the team to meet service levels. Strong team-working skills are essential as we look to strengthen the operation and integrate it within the existing Workplace Services team.


Your experience


  • Good communication - ability to present yourself confidently with all levels of customer.
  • Good diagnostic approach - methodical and considered
  • Strong Team-working skills
  • Knowledge of Win10  and Win11 build basics and installation/uninstall of software
  • Time management- working to deadlines and able to prioritize tasks for yourself and the team
  • ServiceNow experience
  • Quality control and attention to detail

• Correct application of severity, impact and priority.
• New business secured and successfully implemented.
• Skills matrix up to date with products / systems/ technologies and techniques.
• Contribution to product forums and working parties.
• Up to date personal learning plan available.
